ABOUT / AIDEN S. PIANALTO

Engineering with
purpose and curiosity.

I am a mechanical engineering student at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with interests in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, and solving technical problems that lead to practical results.

My goal is to build a strong technical foundation while gaining experience through engineering projects, research, manufacturing, and hands-on work.

01 / CURRENT FOCUS

Where I'm
headed.

I am currently focused on developing my mechanical engineering skills at Rose-Hulman and building experience that prepares me for work in aerospace and defense.

I am especially interested in the intersection of design, manufacturing, analysis, and real-world implementation.

02 / APPROACH

How I
work.

01

Understand the problem first.

I start by understanding the requirements, constraints, and system before developing a solution.

02

Use evidence to guide decisions.

Analysis, testing, data, and iteration matter more than simply having an idea that sounds good.

03

Build for the real world.

A solution needs to work within the people, equipment, processes, and constraints around it.

03 / BEYOND ENGINEERING

Another
perspective.

Outside engineering, photography gives me another way to focus on detail, patience, composition, and the environment around me.

I primarily photograph wildlife, landscapes, and the night sky, building collections around the places and experiences behind the images.

Leadership and service have also been important parts of my development, particularly through Scouting and large-scale community projects.
